Recap by phillip woo

Devas Twelve tracked the speed and after surging to the lead near the 200m, he kept on gamely for a third win in Class Four from 12 starts this term. Pejibaye had his chance but couldn't get by the winner after sitting third with cover along the inside. He's naturally coming to hand in his four starts. The Auspicious ran on nicely with three wider out for third after making his run five back and three wide with cover. It was another honest performance. Von Baer ran on steadily near the inside for fourth after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a much-improved effort following a move to blinkers. Target Audience just held his ground after a prominent run one off the fence. He's still acclimatising but should find his mark next season. Fun Together only plodded when asked for an effort after a handy run. The big weight took its toll following a win.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four : (831) - PINGWU SPARK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 FUN TOGETHER (H041) C L Chau Noted to have a small cut above the right eye on arrival at the Start.

Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start.

Bumped at the start.

Near the 500 Metres was bumped by VON BAER.

After the event C L Chau reported that his mount raced keenly in the middle stages and leaving the 600 Metres was steadied away from TARGET AUDIENCE for some distance.

He said as a result his mount finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 TARGET AUDIENCE (K107) E C W Wong Lay in in the Home Straight.

Noted to have blood at both nostrils after the race.

An endoscopic examination conducted on TARGET AUDIENCE found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostrils was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.

Horse No 3 DEVAS TWELVE (H435) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 FORTUNE SUPERSTAR (J210) Z Purton From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

After the event K Teetan stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

He said this, together with the horse stepping up in distance, were the reasons why it was unable to run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
