Recap by phillip woo

Ka Ying Resilience just got up in the concluding stages after handing up to Lucky Symphony to settle box seat for a first win at his 11th start. Club Ace just won the battle for second after a speed-tracking run from gate five. He can bob up at any moment with placings in four of 10 starts. Equal favourite Lucky Symphony wouldn't go down without a fight after emerging with the lead from gate nine carrying top weight. It was a good run in defeat. Hot Air Balloon made good ground late along the inside for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was an encouraging debut performance. Patch Of Time stayed on for fifth without threatening the top four after a prominent run wide without cover from gate 10. Top To Sky kept on OK after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was a better effort at his second start. Joyful Treasure ran on late without threatening after making his run two from the rear.

Horse No 2 AEROVOLANIC (K400) E C W Wong After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that soon after the start his mount blundered and as a result settled towards the rear of the field.

He added on entering the Home Straight when he was concerned there may be something amiss with AEROVOLANIC when it again blundered, he then retired the horse from the event.

Trainer P C Ng stated that the horse had pleased him during the lead-up to today's race and he expected it to perform well.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
