Recap by phillip woo

We Are Hero travelled midfield near the far side from gate five and just got up in the last stride for a fifth win over the straight 1,000m from 31 starts. Alsonso was just touched off late after surging to the lead 150m out following a prominent run from gate six. It was an improved effort at his second run back in Class Three. Fast Responder ran on strongly through the centre from last for third after getting hampered at the jump. He's itching for a return to the winner's circle. Majestic Express ran on well for fourth travelling behind midfield near the far side from a low draw. It was another honest performance following a win. Ace Champion ran on steadily through the centre for fifth after a midfield run. It was an encouraging first effort in Hong Kong. Whizz Kid was on his tippy toes 100m out after sitting third in the run from gate seven. La Forza didn't have much left in the tank over the last 100m after crossing quickly from a low draw to lead on the stands side. He's likely on or close to his mark after winning two of his first three starts this term.
