Race Seven : (753) - TAI HANG TUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GALAXY WITNESS (G110) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 2 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly.
Shortly after the start was then bumped by LOADED WITH FLUKE which shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 PRIME MORTAR (G328) J Orman In the middle stages raced keenly.
Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid LOADED WITH FLUKE.
Approaching the 350 Metres when it continued to race keenly was again steadied away from LOADED WITH FLUKE.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 GLORY B (H373) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 HANDSOME BLOND (K241) C L Chau Bumped heavily at the start, became unbalanced and lost ground.
Near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from GALAXY WITNESS.
Leaving the 450 Metres blundered.
Horse No 8 COSMO LIGHT (J379) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) K Teetan Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced.
Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid GLORY B (L Hewitson) which shifted in when not quite clear.
L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care.
When questioned K Teetan stated that he was asked to ride the horse where comfortable.
He said COUNTRY DANCER commenced well and he elected to go forward and cross LOADED WITH FLUKE in the early stages to avoid racing wide.
Horse No 10 LOADED WITH FLUKE (K069) Y L Chung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Lay out making the Home Turn and then near the 300 Metres raced in restricted room between COSMO LIGHT and GALAXY WITNESS which shifted out.
Horse No 11 NIGHT PUROSANGUE (J510) B Thompson On jumping was steadied when crowded between COUNTRY DANCER and GLORY B which shifted in.
Horse No 12 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with HANDSOME BLOND.

Following a speed tracking run from gate nine, Glory B kept on nicely after claiming the lead 50m out from New Power for a well deserved second Valley 1,200m win after seconds in two of his past three starts. Slammed to jump as favourite, Fortune Whiskey stayed on nicely for second after a rails run from midfield. He's as honest as the day is long. New Power grudgingly gave way after finding the lead from gate five. It was another good effort carrying four pounds more following a win. Punted late Patch Of Time whacked on a one-paced fourth after a box-seat run. It was an okay effort at his first Valley start following a stable change. Early favourite Galaxy Witness ran on late through the centre for fifth after settling behind midfield on the fence. He's honest but hasn't won in ages. Country Dancer plodded when asked for an effort after a one-out, one-back run. The change in tactics to sit closer failed to pan out. Night Purosangue made some ground late without threatening after making his third last from a tricky gate. He might be worth a try over 1,650m after doing his best work late in Valley sprints.
