Horse No 1 HELENE FEELING (H215) E C W Wong From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 4 HONG LOK GOLF (J517) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 C P BRAVE (E306) C L Chau Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid HONG LOK GOLF.
As a result C P BRAVE was then allowed to stride forward where it raced wide and without cover thereafter.
Horse No 8 STEPS AHEAD (J263) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 EMBRACES (J276) Y L Chung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event Y L Chung advised that with the horse stepping up in grade he was satisfied with its finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Making his run after travelling one off in midfield, favourite Hong Lok Golf just got up to deny Steps Ahead for a sixth win and first at the Valley from seven starts. Steps Ahead did everything right but get the win after moving to the lead 100m out following a one-out, one-back run. It was another honest performance wearing blinkers for the first time. Soleil Fighter had his chance but found a couple of progressive four-year-olds just too good after a box seat run. It was another genuine performance over the Valley 1,650m. Old-timer C P Brave got going late for fourth without threatening the top three after taking off from near the rear 550m out. He's likely looking for a 1,800m trip. Voyage Samurai gradually faded after a speed-tracking run from gate seven. He wasn't good enough carrying top weight on Valley debut. The Golden Scenery just held his ground after a rails run from midfield. Punted late Embraces only beat a couple after making his run at the rear. He wasn't good enough in a higher grade following a win. Helene Feeling never figured after making his run one from the rear. He's had a long season.
