Given a prominent ride without cover from gate eight, Aeris Nova edged clear after hitting the lead 150m out for a second win over 1,200m this term. He appreciated the step back in distance after a one-paced effort over 1,400m. Young Superstar gave a cheeky sight in front from gate 12 but found one better on the day. He's always a chance if allowed to lead over this trip. Punted late Solid Impact just failed to get up for second after a wide with cover trip travelling midfield from gate 10. He had hit the line a lot better for sixth last start when retrying the 1,200m. Second favourite Ahren produced a grinding effort after a handy run one off the fence. He had his chance. Moduleconstruction stuck around for fifth after a box-seat run from gate three. He was not able to lift carrying top weight following back-to-back wins. Little Paradise ran on without threatening after making his run fourth last after a tardy start. He wasn't good enough to give them a head start up in Class Three after winning both runs in Class Four.

Horse No 1 MODULECONSTRUCTION (H127) L Hewitson Shifted out abruptly at the start and made heavy contact with LIFELINE EXPRESS.

Horse No 2 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) H Bowman On jumping was badly crowded by MODULECONSTRUCTION which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.

Horse No 3 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) E C W Wong Shortly after the start was bumped by SOLID IMPACT which shifted in.

Leaving the 500 Metres made contact with THE RED HARE which shifted out, resulting in SUGAR SUGAR then making the Home Turn wide.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 AERIS NOVA (J534) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 5 YOUNG SUPERSTAR (J400) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 ROMANTIC SON (J537) Z Purton After the event Z Purton stated that, in his opinion, his mount was not suited by being ridden forward from a wide barrier.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 ONE MORE (K261) J Orman Over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out when held up behind AHREN.

Horse No 8 LITTLE PARADISE (K246) L Ferraris After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount bounded on jumping and as a result lost ground.

Shortly after the start LITTLE PARADISE was then steadied when crowded by LIFELINE EXPRESS which was taken out by MODULECONSTRUCTION.

Approaching the turn near the 900 Metres LITTLE PARADISE, which was racing keenly, got its head up when being steadied to avoid ANOTHER ZONDA, resulting in LITTLE PARADISE shifting out and being steadied to avoid SOLID IMPACT.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 THE RED HARE (K312) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Horse No 11 ANOTHER ZONDA (K176) K De Melo On jumping made contact with the left side of its barrier and lost ground.

For a short distance near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running and over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight between LITTLE PARADISE and ONE MORE.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 SOLID IMPACT (E447) K Teetan Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.

After the running of Race 1, the track classification was officially changed from "Good" to "Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 1 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm"
