Recap by phillip woo

Veteran S J Tourbillon wide with cover travelling behind midfield came on nicely through the centre to overhaul Firefoot in the concluding stages. Firefoot kept on gamely for second after working to the lead near the 1,100m following a speed-tracking run outside Floof from gate eight. He's a good money spinner for connections. Kasa Papa battled away for third after getting caught wide early on chasing the speed from gate 10. He was able to back up a third last start at Sha Tin. Can't Go Wong kept on nicely for fourth after getting posted wide without cover travelling midfield. He has been racing consistently well when tackling the Valley 1,800m this term. Simple Hedge made headway late near the outside for fifth after making his run three from the rear. It was better effort than his past couple stepping up to 1,800m. Lean Hero only plodded after a rail run from midfield. He's in the right grade but prefers it faster. Sunday's Serenade came up flat after a prominent run. He didn't handle both the wet track and rise in trip. Early favourite Mission Strike only beat a few travelling third last from a wide draw.
