Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (726) - PENFOLD PARK HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 HELENE FEELING (H215) E C W Wong Bumped shortly after the start.
In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1100 Metres was steadied away from SOLEIL FIGHTER.
Horse No 2 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIATOTALITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 3 CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event B Avdulla stated that his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground which he attributed to the race being run slightly outside of standard time in the early stages.
He added the horse also appeared to race "flat" today.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 MR ASCENDENCY (G227) L Ferraris From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event L Ferraris stated that in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and whilst it had previously raced well on the All Weather surface it did not appear to stretch out on the track today.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SOLEIL FIGHTER (J127) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 NOISY BOY (J536) C L Chau Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 9 SING DRAGON (J141) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
After the event M Chadwick stated that his mount was slow to begin and in the early stages he then attempted to find a position with cover.
He said when unable to obtain cover and his mount was caught very wide, he elected then to allow SING DRAGON to improve from the 1000 Metres when it commenced to race keenly.
He added as a result SING DRAGON obtained the position in the lead near the 800 Metres.
Horse No 10 MUST GO (J133) A Atzeni After the event A Atzeni stated that his mount enjoyed a comfortable run during the race but did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
He added MUST GO may not have run out a strong 1650 Metres up in Class
2.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) L Hewitson Bumped shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Favourite Talents Ambition bided his time three from the rear and quickened nicely when the gaps presented itself to get up in the concluding stages for a third all-weather 1,650m win from 16 starts. Soleil Fighter found one just too good after he was pushed forward from a wide draw to eventually find a spot one off in third coming to the final bend. It was another solid run at his first attempt on the dirt. Telecom Fighters put up a brave front when only succumbing in the dying stages after reclaiming the lead from Sing Dragon rounding the final bend. He nearly caused another upset win with a return to the dirt 1,650m of a win two runs ago. Turin Mascot ran on nicely along the inside for fourth after making his run four from the rear. He can bob up now and then on the dirt. Yellowfin ran on without threatening after making his run five back on the fence.
