Favourite Young Arrow defied a prominent run wide without cover the entire trip to just overhaul My Day My Way in the concluding stages for a first win at his 12th local start. The downgrade worked the oracle. My Day My Way was just denied after hitting the lead 250m out in a speed-tracking role from gate 12. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in three of his past four starts. California Deeply ran on steadily near the outside to just take third without threatening the top two after a wide trip travelling three from the rear. He's building towards another win in his past two starts following a downgrade. Tactical Command was only good enough for fourth after a handy run with cover from gate four. He's likely on his mark. Crystal Power succumbed late for fifth after leading one off until finding the fence for the most part. Noble Fans ran on without threatening after settling last from gate 11. It wasn't a bad effort at his first Valley start following a placing from two 1,400m starts. Punted late Team Happy disappointed after getting all favours in the box seat. He's looking forward to Class Five.

Race Six : (713) - CIRON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) B Avdulla Bumped shortly after the start.

Horse No 2 YOUNG ARROW (J401) H Bowman Bumped shortly after the start.

Was left racing wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 MY DAY MY WAY (J519) C L Chau After the event C L Chau reported that from the outside barrier he was instructed to take up an on-pace position.

He said such instructions were issued as connections felt it was advantageous to race in a forward position tonight.

Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions issued and said he was of the view that there was not strong pace in the race and that MY DAY MY WAY had shown speed in its barrier trial on 20 May 2025 when it performed well.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 KING VICTOR (K042) J Orman Jumped only fairly and then raced tight between TEAM HAPPY and TACTICAL COMMAND, both of which shifted ground slightly.

Horse No 9 NOBLE FANS (K038) A Hamelin Shifted in shortly after the start, made contact with RICH HORSE and became unbalanced.

Horse No 10 TELECOM POWER (J332) H Bentley Shortly after the start was crowded between YOUNG ARROW and CALIFORNIA DEEPLY, both of which shifted ground.

After the event H Bentley reported that his mount travelled only fairly during the race and finished off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 RICH HORSE (J191) K Teetan Stumbled on jumping and shorty after was steadied when crowded between SUPER PACE and NOBLE FANS which shifted in.

Horse No 12 TEAM HAPPY (J218) Y L Chung Near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of CRYSTAL POWERFUL to continue into clear running.

After the event Y L Chung stated that with the horse receiving pressure in the early stages from CRYSTAL POWERFUL it did not appreciate racing inside that horse and as a result finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
