Recap by phillip woo

Solid Shalaa made his run two from the rear and along the inside to just overhaul Packing Bole for a third win from 22 starts, including his past two following an injury spell. He will remain in the grade and can win another. Packing Bole found one just too good after sharing the front before claiming the outright lead from Mask Rider 600m out. He rarely produces a bad run over the dirt 1,200m. Well-backed Mr Energia just got up for third after a rails run from midfield. It was another honest effort on this surface. Bundle Of Charm just missed a placing after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was a better effort with a step back to 1,200m at his second straight start down in Class Three. Punted late Mojave Desert ran on late for fifth without threatening the top four after making his run second last from the widest draw. Mask Rider gradually faded after vying for the lead outsider Packing Bole from 10. Favourite Gummy Gummy was already giving up the chase when impeded 200m out following a one-out, one-back run.
