Recap by phillip woo

Kingly Demeanor went forward from gate seven to lead and responded well when asked for more for a third win from 14 starts this term. It was a better effort at his second straight run back in Class Five. Gold Tack ran on nicely for second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He appreciated a return to the course and distance of placings in three of three Valley 1,800m runs. Well-backed late Leather Master stayed on well to make it close for second after getting posted wide without cover from gate 12 until slotting in the one-one 600m out. It was another good effort following a win. Fancied late to jump favourite, Mr Aladdin ran on well to just miss a placing after making his run at the rear from gate 11. He's racing well without winning in his past four starts. Go Go Go peaked on his run 100m out following a speed-tracking run. It was a positive showing at his first run since January. The Way We Win stayed on better after a rails run from better than midfield. Early favourite Tradition never landed a blow after making his run five back on the fence. The quick back up and step up to 1,800m failed to work the oracle.

After the event Z Purton stated that his instructions were to hold a more forward position but his mount failed to show sufficient pace to do so and as a result settled further back than intended.

A Atzeni was warned in relation to using his whip forward of the saddle in the forehand manner on one occasion after the 200 Metres.

Horse No 5 THE WAY WE WIN (J493) Y L Chung After the 200 Metres raced in restricted room between LEATHER MASTER and GOLD TACK which shifted in.

Z Purton was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 28 May 2025 at Happy Valley.
