Race Nine : (667) - POK FU LAM COUNTRY PARK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CALL ME GLORIOUS (H410) J Orman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 3 AERIS NOVA (J534) K C Leung Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid AHREN (A Atzeni) which shifted in when not clear.
A Atzeni was reprimanded.
AERIS NOVA then raced keenly in the middle stages.
Horse No 5 ONE MORE (K261) Z Purton After the event Z Purton stated that his mount was fractious in the gates and jumped only fairly.
He added ONE MORE raced too keenly and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 RIGHTEOUS ARION (H059) M Chadwick Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between CALL ME GLORIOUS and REGAL GEM.
Horse No 7 MARVEL AND GOLD (K109) A Hamelin After being crossed by GENIUS BABY in the early stages commenced to race keenly and near the 1000 Metres was severely checked to avoid GENIUS BABY.
MARVEL AND GOLD then continued to race keenly and approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being checked to avoid AERIS NOVA.
Horse No 8 REGAL GEM (K258) L Hewitson After the event L Hewitson stated that after being ridden forward to race outside the lead in the early stages his mount gave ground in the Home Straight.
He added that REGAL GEM would derive benefit from additional racing.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 CALIFORNIA BAY (K364) Y L Chung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
On the Home Turn was hampered when taken wider by LIFELINE EXPRESS which shifted out.
Horse No 11 BIG RETURN (K192) B Thompson Shortly after the start raced tight between REGAL GEM and SUPER LEGENDS which shifted out and away from AHREN.
Near the 1000 Metres shirted out and away from MARVEL AND GOLD when that runner shifted out.

Call Me Glorious led from gate 10 carrying top weight and lifted late to just see off favourite Ahren for a fourth win from 16 starts. He was able to build on a front running second last start. Ahren just failed to get up after a one-out, one-back run. It was another good effort up in grade following a win. Righteous Arion kept on gamely for third after a prominent run on the fence. He rarely produces a bad 1,200m run across either track. Aeris Nova ran on late for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's held his form well in back-to-back runs after a win. Super Legends stuck on one-paced to just take fifth after a wide without cover trip from better than midfield. The move to a 10-pound claimer failed to work the oracle. Punted late Lifeline Express ran on late with one wider out to finish next best after biding his time at the rear from gate 11. California Bay made some ground late down the outside after making his run second last from the widest draw. It wasn't a bad effort on his local debut.
