Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Flash Current with a wide trip with cover from midfield took control 100m out after a for a second win from five starts. He should remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. Punted late, Riding Together assumed the lead 900m out from gate 10 and kept on for a clear-cut second after. He was able to build on a fourth following a downgrade last start. The Auspicious made his run at the rear from gate 14 and came on late down the outside for third. It wasn't a surprise effort from one of only three winners in the race. Zetta Force just lost third after a prominent run wide without cover from a tricky gate. He's building towards a win. Lucky Statement handed up 900m out to take the sit on the leader's back from gate six and stuck on reasonably well after. It was a better performance. I P O Bros was one-out, one back but came up one-paced when asked. Ace after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield never threatened. It was a better effort wearing cheekpieces.
