Recap by phillip woo

Liveandletlive fired to the front from gate five and just clung on for a first local win with a step up to 2,000m at his seventh local start. He was well rated in front by Angus Chung. Early favourite Gold Master produced a game effort for second after working forward three wide to eventually sit outside the leader 1,200m out. Winning Wing made some ground for third without threatening the top two after turning the final bend three back on the fence. It was another honest performance with a step up to 2,000m following an 1,800m success. Family Jewel came on late through the centre for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a good effort carrying seven pounds more following a 1,600m win seven days earlier. Enthralled peaked on his run 100m out near the inside after making his run from behind midfield. Agenda came from near last and widest out to finish next best. He's still acclimatising.
