Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (615) - THE LUSITANO CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 MAGNIAC (H141) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 FLYING WROTE (J290) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 SKY CAP (K125) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 JUDY'S GREAT (J016) L Ferraris Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with RISING PHOENIX.
Horse No 6 BIG STRIDE (K194) H Bentley After travelling a short distance shifted in and bumped with DRACO.
Making the first turn was steadied to avoid DRACO when that runner was taken out by VIEW ALL THINGS.
Horse No 7 RISING PHOENIX (J498) B Avdulla Crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 8 MAGIC BEANS (J549) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 600 Metres lay in towards RISING PHOENIX and was steadied.
Horse No 10 BIENVENUE (J490) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 VIEW ALL THINGS (K101) M L Yeung Bumped shortly after the start.
Was left racing wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
After the event M L Yeung stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley, hung out making the first turn and as a result ran wide when being steadied away from BIENVENUE.
The racing manners of VIEW ALL THINGS were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, VIEW ALL THINGS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong.

Horse No 12 DRACO (J115) A Atzeni After travelling a short distance was crowded between BIENVENUE and BIG STRIDE, both of which shifted ground slightly.
Making the first turn was hampered when taken wider by VIEW ALL THINGS.
DRACO then raced keenly in the early stages and near the 750 Metres was steadied away from BIENVENUE.

Sky Cap sustained his run after reclaiming the lead from favourite Jumbo Treasure 850m out for a maiden win at his sixth start. The switch to a seven-pound claimer worked the oracle. Bienvenue ran on nicely near the outside to just miss after a one-off trip from better than midfield. The switch to the Valley nearly paid off after seconds in two of eight Sha Tin runs. New Power stayed on well for third after a prominent run. He keeps promising without winning this term. Early favourite Jumbo Treasure found a few too good after briefly leading one off from the 1,050m until the 850m. He couldn't add to an impressive last-start win at Sha Tin but he was carrying top weight. Post-time favourite Flying Wrote ran on steadily for fifth without threatening the top four after a handy run along the inside. He had no excuse. Rising Phoenix ran on without threatening after making his run five back on the fence. It wasn't a bad effort in a race run to suit those up front. Punted late, Draco made only a mild bid after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He didn't get things run to suit.
