Race Seven : (587) - POSITIVE AGEING 1400M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 2 ANOTHER ZONDA (K176) J Orman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 HAROLD WIN (J280) C L Chau Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider C L Chau having to correct his mount approaching the 200 Metres.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 FIGOPUMPKIN (K137) B Avdulla Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 7 QUICK CONTRIBUTION (K112) H Bowman As the start was effected became fractious and as a result was slow to begin.
As the Stewards were satisfied that such occurrence was simultaneous as the start was effected, they determined that QUICK CONTRIBUTION to be declared a runner.
The barrier manners of QUICK CONTRIBUTION were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, QUICK CONTRIBUTION will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Horse No 10 NIGHT PUROSANGUE (J510) K C Leung Steadied to avoid BEAUTIFUL WIN near the 200 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
Horse No 11 HAPPY HOLIDAY (J240) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY HOLIDAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 BEAUTIFUL WIN (J250) M L Yeung The tongue tie was replaced in the Parade Ring.
Near the 200 Metres HAROLD WIN, which was laying in, shifted in when not clear of BEAUTIFUL WIN, resulting in BEAUTIFUL WIN having to be steadied to avoid HAROLD WIN and further shifting in, crowding the running of NIGHT PUROSANGUE which was steadied when it was giving ground.
C L Chau was severely reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts when they shift ground whilst not clear.

Another Zonda was ridden patiently fourth last, straightened with two wider out and just reeled in favourite Harold Win in the last stride for a first win at his fifth start. Harold Win ran a huge race in defeat after hitting the front 200m out following a wide-without-cover trip travelling midfield from gate eight. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in his past three starts. Punted late Quick Contribution ran on strongly to finish a close third after making his run second last following a slow start. It was a solid run. Beautiful Win battled on for fourth after getting slightly inconvenienced 250m out following a oneoff trip from better than midfield. It was another honest effort. Pearl Of Pang's stayed on well for fifth after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. He looks a winner waiting to happen. Yiu Chueng Victory made some ground late after making his run at the rear from gate 12. It was an improved effort. Lucky Combination got going late with one wider out after a making his run towards the rear from a wide draw.
