Favourite Aestheticism took control 150m out after a one-off trip from behind midfield for a fourth win at his 27th start. He had been knocking on the door and the return to his favourite rider Zac Purton worked the oracle. Definitive stuck on well for second after moving to the lead rounding the final bend following a speed-tracking run from gate seven. Lovero kept on well for third after a one-out, one-back run from gate 11. He's not easy to get right but is certainly capable on his day. Hameron stayed on well for fourth after getting held up early straight following a rails run from midfield. It was a better effort with a step back to the course and distance of a win two runs ago. Chain Of Gold ran on well to just miss a first four spot after making his run second last from gate 10. He rarely produces a bad run over the Valley 1,650m. Lean Hero ran on without threatening near the outside after making his move third last from a tricky gate. It wasn't a bad effort. M Unicorn won after a mid-race move last start but couldn't figure after taking off near the 900m to sit wide without cover 700m out.

Race Eight : (560) - TOKYO HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters

Horse No 1 M UNICORN (G466) H Bowman After the event, H Bowman stated that near the 1000 Metres his mount commenced to race keenly and for this reason he elected to allow it to stride forward.

He said M UNICORN then did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to its inside and as a result was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.

He added as a consequence of being caught wide and racing keenly M UNICORN gave ground when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of M UNICORN was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.

Before being allowed to race again, M UNICORN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 3 HAMERON (H265) R Kingscote Near the 1400 Metres was steadied when crowded by MIGHTY COMMANDER which was taken in by LOVERO (Y L Chung) which shifted in when not clear.

Y L Chung was reprimanded.

Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres.

Approaching the 50 Metres was disappointed for clear running to the inside of DEFINITIVE, was eased and shifted to that runner's outside to continue into clear running.

Horse No 4 DEFINITIVE (K037) K Teetan Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping, shifted out and bumped with LEAN HERO.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 LEAN HERO (G402) L Hewitson Bumped on jumping.

Horse No 6 AESTHETICISM (H289) Z Purton Bumped on jumping.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 CHAIN OF GOLD (J138) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 8 IVY LEAGUE (H116) H Bentley Knuckled over at the start.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 A AMERIC TE SPECSO (H037) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 10 MIGHTY COMMANDER (J360) A Atzeni Raced keenly in the middle stages and refused to settle.

For some distance near the 1200 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from LOVERO.

Horse No 11 DEVAS TWELVE (H435) M L Yeung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
