Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (545) - PLANTATION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 VICTOR THE RAPID (J393) C L Chau On jumping was bumped by JUBILANT WINNER which shifted out.
Near the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by ROBOT KNIGHT.
Horse No 3 SEA EMERALD (J518) J Orman Approaching the 400 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of KA YING GLORY to obtain clear running when KA YING GLORY hung out.
Horse No 4 BLAZING BEAM (K103) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Under pressure in the Home Straight raced greenly and lay in.
Horse No 6 JUBILANT WINNER (J346) B Thompson Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Bumped near the 500 Metres when it shifted out to improve.
Approaching the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by SEA EMERALD.
Over the final 200 Metres lay in under pressure, resulting in its rider B Thompson having to correct his mount on a number of occasions.
Horse No 7 KA YING GLORY (K247) Z Purton When questioned Z Purton stated that after being placed in the starting gates his mount became stirred up and was fractious.
He said KA YING GLORY jumped reasonably well and was able to hold an on-pace position in the early stages.
He said approaching the first turn near the 900 Metres he endeavoured to obtain a position with cover behind JUMBO TREASURE and as he did so KA YING GLORY hung out badly and made the first turn wider.
He added from this point KA YING GLORY continued to hang out and shifted a number of horses wider making the Home Turn before weakening in the Home Straight.
Trainer D A Hayes advised that KA YING GLORY had pleased him leading into today's race and he had expected it to run well.
He said, in his opinion, KA YING GLORY raced on the wrong lead leg which resulted in it hanging out and racing in an uncompetitive manner thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" The racing manners and performance of KA YING GLORY were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, KA YING GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 RUNJEET (K276) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 JUMBO TREASURE (K249) K C Leung Trainer W K Mo confirmed that with the horse stepping up in distance and having sheepskin cheek pieces applied he had instructed Jockey K C Leung to go forward and lead if he was able to do so.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 SUPER SICARIO (K306) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres got its head up and became unbalanced when being steadied away from YIU CHEUNG VICTORY.
SUPER SICARIO then continued to race keenly in the middle stages.
Leaving the 600 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded by RUNJEET which lay in and away from DEVILDOM.
Horse No 12 LOVING VIBES (J359) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 ROBOT KNIGHT (H464) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover throughout the event and near the 900 Metres was hampered when taken wider by KA YING GLORY which hung out.
Near the 500 Metres was bumped when taken wider by JUBILANT WINNER which shifted to the outside of SEA EMERALD to improve.
Approaching the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by JUBILANT WINNER.
Horse No 14 DEVILDOM (H445) M L Yeung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Jumbo Treasure never looked back after going straight to the lead wearing cheek pieces from gate 13 for a first win at his third start. He appreciated both a gear change and step up to 1,200m. Loving Vibes just held on for second without threatening the winner after a box-seat run. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in three straight runs. Jubilant Winner ran on nicely to just miss second after settling one off travelling midfield from a tricky gate. Like the latter, he can breakthrough at any moment with placings in three of five outings this term. Sea Emerald just missed a placing after a oneoff trip from better than midfield. It was another pleasing effort on the back of a debut second earlier this month. Newcomer Fortune Star ran on well after coming off heels 250m out from behind midfield to just edge another first-time starter Runjeet for fifth. It was an encouraging debut effort. Runjeet made good ground late through the middle after travelling third last from a wide draw. It was a nice debut performance.
