Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (529) - FAY FAY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 HAPPY DAILY (E294) C Soumillon Near the 450 Metres MISTER DAPPER (B Avdulla), which was racing keenly, became positioned close to the heels of DEAL COMPLETED when that runner commenced to give ground.
When DEAL COMPLETED then shifted out slightly making the Home Turn MISTER DAPPER improved to the inside of that runner and shortly after raced in restricted room between DEAL COMPLETED and THUNDER BLINK which shifted out slightly.
A short distance later MISTER DAPPER was then taken to the fence by DEAL COMPLETED, resulting in HAPPY DAILY having to be severely checked and GALE SAGA, which was following HAPPY DAILY, also being checked.
As the Stewards were satisfied that B Avdulla had not intentionally positioned his mount to the inside of DEAL COMPLETED and that MISTER DAPPER had improved to the inside of that runner due to it travelling keenly and DEAL COMPLETED initially shifting out as it made the Home Turn, no action was taken.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 TIMES TABLE (J230) B Thompson Jumped only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 3 BEATO (H090) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 4 MASTER TRILLION (J442) J Moreira On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by DEAL COMPLETED which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467) C Williams Shifted in at the start, made contact with the right side of its barrier and became unbalanced.
Horse No 7 SKY VINO (K054) H Bowman After the event, H Bowman stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position but his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so and as a result he held a handy position with cover when unable to take up a more forward position.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 LUCKY FIONN (J047) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 DEAL COMPLETED (J378) D McDonogh Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
After the event, D McDonogh stated that his instructions were to ride his mount along in the early stages to hold a forward position.
The performance of DEAL COMPLETED, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, DEAL COMPLETED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 MISTER DAPPER (H376) B Avdulla After the event, B Avdulla stated that after being badly held up on the Home Turn and then being crowded to the inside of DEAL COMPLETED near the 450 Metres MISTER DAPPER did not finish the race off thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 GALE SAGA (J152) J Orman Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between FIGHT TIME and MASTER TRILLION.
Near the 450 Metres was checked away from HAPPY DAILY.
Horse No 12 CELTIC TIMES (G230) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages having its first run for Trainer K L Man.
Horse No 14 FIGHT TIME (H409) M F Poon Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Master Trillion was ridden patiently fourth last from a tricky gate and rallied nicely with two wider out to get up 60m out for a second win from seven starts. He handled a step up to 1,600m with aplomb. Sky Vino found one just too good after moving to the lead 180m out following a wide with cover trip travelling midfield from gate 12. Beato ran on nicely to dead-heat for third with Special Hedge after a patient ride two from the rear. He's a winner waiting to happen if he remains in the grade. Special Hedge ran on nicely to finish level for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He can produce a good run now and then at this level. Times Table ran on well down the outside for fifth without threatening the first four after making his run second last from gate 14. It was his best effort from six runs following a downgrade. Gale Saga ran on without threatening after making his run four from the rear. He hasn't disgraced but appears from his past three starts to be on his mark following a 1,400m win.
