Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (506) - DAHLIA HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 CHILLI BABA (G339) J Orman Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For a short distance near the 450 Metres was held up behind MR GOOD VIBES.
Horse No 3 STRONGEST BOY (H027) H Bowman On jumping was hampered when taken out by SILVER DESTINY.
From the outside barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event, H Bowman stated that when under pressure in the Home Straight he had some concern with the action of the horse.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 SMASHING EXPRESS (J252) A Hamelin Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when it lay in whilst being shifted to the outside of LEATHER MASTER to obtain clear running.
Horse No 5 SOARING BRONCO (J162) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) K Teetan After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount came under pressure in the middle stages, did not finish the race off thereafter and was eased down in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of MR GOOD VIBES, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MR GOOD VIBES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 SILVER DESTINY (J096) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick confirmed that from a wide barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was requested to lead if possible.
He said when his mount did not show sufficient pace to cross RED MAVERICK he elected to obtain a position outside that runner in the early stages before giving ground in the Home Straight.
He added that SILVER DESTINY would be better suited by being dropped back in distance for its next race start.
Horse No 10 CASA LEGEND (G126) M F Poon Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by LEATHER MASTER which shifted in.
Horse No 11 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 LEATHER MASTER (H034) A Badel Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters when it shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 RED MAVERICK (J067) M L Yeung Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.
As this was the second occasion that RED MAVERICK had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing.

Firming favourite Soaring Bronco got the splits to get up 80m out following a rails run from midfield for a first win at his 16th start. Leather Master stayed on nicely for second after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He was able to build on an improved fifth last start. Smashing Express ran on well for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's racing well without winning. Casa Legend ran on nicely late near the outside for fifth after making his run four from the rear. He was able to back up a closing third last start on his return to 1,600m. Manythanks Forever had his chance but only held his ground after a one-out, one-back run. He's better suited over 1,400m. Ivictoriam ran on without threatening after making his run five back and one off the fence with cover. It was an OK effort after running on nicely for second last start. Chilli Baba came from last and widest out to finish next best. He's better suited over 1,800m. Mr Good Vibes ran on without menacing from towards the rear.
