Race Nine : (504) - AP LEI CHAU HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 ROMANTIC LAOS (G476) C L Chau Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 4 STAR MAC (J053) B Avdulla Crowded at the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 6 FALLON (H219) B Thompson For some distance near the 1500 Metres got its head up when being shifted behind ROMANTIC LAOS to obtain cover.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SIMPLY MAVERICK (H346) D McDonogh Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
In the early stages raced keenly.
Horse No 8 CHARITY GAIN (H431) L Ferraris On jumping was crowded between STAR MAC and BEAUTY ALLIANCE, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 9 JUMBO LEGEND (G266) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly.
Near the 1100 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from STAR MAC.
Horse No 10 BEAUTY ALLIANCE (J260) A Badel Shortly after the start shifted in, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 WINNING STEPS (G420) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and shortly afterwards was crowded by SIMPLY MAVERICK which shifted out abruptly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GENERAL:
1.
After the running of Race 2, the track classification was officially changed from "Good" to "Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
As a consequence of this, the official results will show Races 1 and 2 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm"

Addition to Racing Incidents Report of 9 March 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 9 (493) SUGAR BALL - Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.

After claiming the lead 200m out after tracking leader Northern Beast, Beauty Alliance was much too smart on his way to his third win and two on the bounce despite a rise in class. He has the tools to head higher. The well-backed Fallon ran on nicely for second after settling one off in midfield from gate 12. It was a solid run carrying 11 pounds more following a win. Northern Beast kept on well for third after dictating the run from gate four. He's holding his condition well following a win. Jumbo Legend ran on well for fourth after making his run second last from gate 11. It was a good run with a step up to 1,800m on the back of a sedate pace. Star Mac got going late for fifth without threatening the top four after biding his time three from the rear. He wasn't suited by the race tempo. Charity Gain made some ground without menacing after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He was another who didn't get the race run to suit. Romantic Laos failed to lift when asked for an effort after a prominent run. He couldn't back up a near win last start but was carrying four pounds more.
