Horse No 2 EASON (G061) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For some distance after the 300 Metres raced tight to the inside of RUN RUN SMART when that runner shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
Passing the 150 Metres EASON raced tight to the inside of ABSOLUTE HONOUR.
Near the 100 Metres H Bowman dropped his left rein.
Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of YOUTHFUL SPIRITS.
Horse No 3 ABSOLUTE HONOUR (K260) Y L Chung For some distance approaching the 200 Metres Y L Chung dropped his left rein.
Horse No 4 PRINCE OF PORTY (H009) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
Horse No 5 SEASONS WIT (H223) J Orman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After sitting on the back of leader Youthful Spirts and surging to the front near the 100m, veteran Happy Fat Cat just scrambled in for an eighth win from 44 starts and fifth from 23 outings over the Valley 1,200m. He had been knocking on the door in recent runs. Firming favourite King Of Fighters found one just too good after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in back-to-back runs following a switch to the Valley 1,200m. Circuit Jolly stayed on well for third after punching the breeze in third from gate six. It was a pleasing effort in a higher grade for his Valley debut following a straight 1,000m win. Eason came from a long way back along the inside to just grab fourth after making his run at the rear from gate 11. It was another honest performance over the Valley 1,200m. Prince Of Porty ran on well near the outside to just miss a first four spot following a one-off trip from midfield. He rarely produces a bad run. Run Run Smart made some ground late without threatening from near the rear. It wasn't a bad effort first time out at the Valley.
