Fast Network improved from last to sit behind midfield coming to the final bend before getting up in the final few metres to run down long-time leader Glory Elite for a fourth win from nine starts. Punted late, Glory Elite wouldn't go down without a fight after dictating the run from gate four. He's always tough to get by over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Early favourite Masterofmyuniverse got going late to finish a close third from midfield. It was an improved effort with a step back to the 1,200m trip of back-to-back wins in Class Four following an OK run over 1,400m. Crimson Flash kept on all right after tracking the speed one off from gate eight. It wasn't a bad effort with a step up to 1,200m. Call Me Glorious had his chance but only plodded after a box-seat run. He just hasn't been the same runner this season despite a move to blinkers and step back to the course and distance of three wins last term. I P O Bros made some ground without ever looking a chance following a patient ride second last. It was only a slightly better effort.

Race Ten : (475) - YAU OI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 FAST NETWORK (J358) J McDonald Shortly after the start was crowded between RIGHTEOUS ARION and CRIMSON FLASH which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 GLORY ELITE (H311) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 CALL ME GLORIOUS (H410) J Moreira Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.

Horse No 5 MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325) R Moore Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 6 WONDERSTAR (J531) Y L Chung Near the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, got its head up when being steadied to avoid CRIMSON FLASH (L Hewitson) which shifted in when not clear.

L Hewitson was reprimanded.

Horse No 7 RIGHTEOUS ARION (H059) A Badel Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

After the event, A Badel stated that his mount did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position and was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

He added in the Home Straight RIGHTEOUS ARION finished the race off in a one-paced manner.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 CRIMSON FLASH (K173) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was hampered when crowded by BLAZING WIND which shifted out.

In this incident, CRIMSON FLASH then shifted out and away from BLAZING WIND, made contact with FAST NETWORK and became unbalanced.

Horse No 9 BLAZING WIND (J157) M F Poon Near the 250 Metres shifted in and away from FAST NETWORK and then was steadied away from WONDERSTAR when that runner shifted out before being corrected by its rider Y L Chung.

After the event, M F Poon stated that his mount travelled keenly during the race and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 I P O BROS (K193) P N Wong On jumping was bumped by CALL ME GLORIOUS which shifted out.

Horse No 11 MEOWTH (J487) A Atzeni After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount did not travel well at any stage of the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.

He added that he had concern with the horse's action during the race.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of MEOWTH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, MEOWTH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 4 SAVVY BRILLIANT (J437) L Ferraris Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever).

Before being allowed to race again, SAVVY BRILLIANT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the running of Race 8, the track classification for the turf course was officially changed from "Good" to ""Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective for Races 7 and
