Recap by phillip woo

Tactical Command settled midfield on the rails and just outdashed Our Lucky Glory through the centre for a third win from 26 starts and first this season after placing in four of seven earlier starts. He deserved that. Our Lucky Glory hammered home late near the inside to just miss after making his run five back on the fence. He's always a chance down in Class Four over this course and distance. Mega Bonus wouldn't go down without a fight after turning the final bend a length on top dictating things from gate seven. It was clearly his best effort this term. Perfect General only plodded when popped the question after punching the breeze in second from gate five. He has been very costly in three starts after resuming a winner. Golden Friendship whacked on one-paced after a box-seat run. He's still a work in progress but hasn't been far off the mark in both starts. Iconical made headway late near the inside settling second last after bombing the start. He's still learning the ropes, but it was a better effort from four starts. Gameplayer Elite made some ground without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two : (439) - KWAI CHUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 GOLDEN LUCK (H159) E C W Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 PERFECT GENERAL (J417) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 GAMEPLAYER ELITE (H356) T Marquand Shortly after the start was crowded between NOBLE GO and OUR LUCKY GLORY which was taken out by MEGA BONUS.

Approaching the 300 Metres became unbalanced when being steadied whilst positioned close to the heels of NOBLE GO.

Horse No 5 OUR LUCKY GLORY (G292) H Bentley Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GAMEPLAYER ELITE and MEGA BONUS (B Avdulla) which shifted out.

B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 MAGIC BEANS (J549) J Orman Shifted in slightly at the start and bumped with NOBLE GO.

From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

When placed under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight lay in and raced greenly.

Horse No 9 NOBLE GO (K053) A Atzeni On jumping bumped with GAMEPLAYER ELITE and became unbalanced.

Noted to have lost its left hind plate and sustained a laceration to its right hind leg after the race.

Horse No 11 ICONICAL (J504) K Teetan Prior to declaring weighed-in, the Stewards gave consideration as to whether ICONICAL had been afforded a fair start.

After taking evidence from Jockey K Teetan and Deputy Starter Mr C McMullen, the Stewards found that ICONICAL lay on the side of the gates as the start was effected and lost ground.

As the Stewards were satisfied that ICONICAL had been afforded the opportunity to start with the field, the horse was declared a runner.

Horse No 12 TACTICAL COMMAND (H197) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 SWAGGER BRO (K089) M L Yeung The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if SWAGGER BRO had been afforded a fair start.

After taking evidence from Jockey M L Yeung, Trainer D A Hayes and Deputy Starter Mr C McMullen, it was established that as the start was effected Jockey Yeung had his right arm positioned on the barrier partition whilst he adjusted his right stirrup.

As the Stewards were satisfied that SWAGGER BRO was unable to jump with the field as a consequence, they determined that the horse was denied a fair start and as such was declared a non-runner.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
