Horsepower travelled fourth last early on and came with a ducking-and-weaving run to get up 20m out to remain perfect in two local starts following a Valley win in October. Aurora Patch found one just too good after poking his head in front 100m out travelling behind midfield on the far side from gate two. He did have excuses in each of his first three starts over 1,200m. Super Fortune stayed on well for third after sitting handy on the speed from a low draw. It was another honest performance. Sparkling Fellow found a few too good after making his run in midfield on the stands side. He's given a good sight in both local runs over the straight 1,000m. Colourful King came up one-paced over the last 100m after chasing the speed in the middle of the track from gate eight. It was a positive showing on his local debut. Majestic Express stayed on next best after switching out for a clear run 350m out following a midfield run.

Race Nine : (435) - OSMANTHUS HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters

Horse No 1 FAST RESPONDER (J295) P N Wong Approaching the 200 Metres was steadied when it initially lay out towards CRIMSON FLASH which was taken in slightly by SPARKLING FELLOW and MAJESTIC EXPRESS (B Avdulla) which shifted to the outside of CANDLELIGHT DINNER and made contact with FAST RESPONDER.

B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.

Lay out throughout the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 HORSEPOWER (J431) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 MAJESTIC EXPRESS (J244) B Avdulla Crowded shortly after the start.

Leaving the 950 Metres was checked when crowded between COLOURFUL KING and SWEET BRIAR which shifted in and away from FAST RESPONDER despite the efforts of its rider.

Leaving the 400 Metres was shifted to the inside of FAST RESPONDER to obtain clear running.

Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of CANDLELIGHT DINNER to obtain clear running and as a result made contact with FAST RESPONDER approaching the 200 Metres.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 SPARKLING FELLOW (K175) A Badel Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between MAJESTIC EXPRESS and SWEET BRIAR which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.

Horse No 7 CRIMSON FLASH (K173) L Ferraris Near the 150 Metres was hampered when positioned close to SPARKLING FELLOW which lay in.

Horse No 8 SWEET BRIAR (H044) K De Melo Leaving the 950 Metres shifted in, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

Near the 600 Metres was eased when racing in restricted room between MAJESTIC EXPRESS and SPARKLING FELLOW which shifted in slightly.

Horse No 9 LEGENDARY IMPACT (K035) K C Leung Bumped shortly after the start.

Horse No 11 CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468) H Doyle Lay in in the early part of the Home Straight.

When placed under pressure leaving the 500 Metres hung in, shifted a number of horses inwards and proved difficult to ride out to the finish of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The racing manners of CANDLELIGHT DINNER were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, CANDLELIGHT DINNER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial down the straight whilst being ridden out to the finish.

Horse No 12 KNOW AT HEART (K108) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly and got its head up.

Horse No 14 AURORA PATCH (K097) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and then bumped with LEGENDARY IMPACT shortly after.
