Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (431) - JASMINE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 2 MASTER OF ALL (H177) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 EVERYONE'S CLASSIC (J407) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount, which was racing first up today, would derive benefit from today's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 LUCKY STATEMENT (J521) A Atzeni Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping and as a result commenced only fairly.
Near the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded by SPIRIT OF PEACE (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not quite clear.
B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.
After the event, A Atzeni stated that when he was concerned there may be something amiss with his mount he eased it down from the event on the Home Turn.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of LUCKY STATEMENT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY STATEMENT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 WIN SPEED (J205) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages from a wide barrier to take up a position outside the lead.
He said as a result WIN SPEED was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 GENERAL SMART (K138) H T Mo From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 800 Metres improved to the inside of LUCKY STATEMENT and then was steadied when momentarily crowded.
Horse No 8 HARMONY N HOME (C531) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 DRACO (J115) H Doyle Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between WIN SPEED and KINGLY DEMEANOR.
DRACO was then held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres when being shifted to the outside of KINGLY DEMEANOR.
Horse No 11 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) K Teetan Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Approaching the 250 Metres was bumped and taken wider.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) K De Melo Bumped on jumping.
When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, K De Melo stated that his mount responded only fairly when placed under pressure and for this reason he did not ride THE AUSPICIOUS with full vigour for some distance approaching the 200 Metres.
He said over the concluding stages THE AUSPICIOUS was held up for clear running between WIN SPEED and HARMONY N HOME and as a result he was unable to fully test his mount to the finish of the event.
The Stewards advised Jockey De Melo that, wherever possible, he must ride his mounts with full vigour to ensure they obtain the best possible placing in the field.
Horse No 14 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) B Thompson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No FOXHUNTER KING (J044) A Hamelin Withdrawn on 15.2.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter QINGYUAN STAR.
Before being allowed to race again, FOXHUNTER KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Master Of All kept finding leading from gate one to just deny Kingly Demeanour after shaking off a challenge by Win Speed for a fourth win from 19 starts and second from five starts this term. He's as honest as they come. Well-backed Kingly Demeanour made it close on the wire after settling one-out, one-back from gate eight. It was his best run in Class Four. Draco ran on for third without threatening the top two after a rails run from better than midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen after filling the frame in three consecutive runs across both tracks for his new trainer. Spirit Of Peace ran on through the middle to nearly place after straightening fifth last from a tricky gate. It was a pleasing run carrying top weight with a step up to 1,400m following a Valley 1,200m win. Punted late Jumbo Fortune ran on late near the outside for fifth after making his run second last from gate 10. It was another honest effort over 1,400m this term.
