Race Nine : (426) - GREEN ISLAND HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 YELLOWFIN (G326) P N Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135) E C W Wong Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that he had concern with his mount's action when under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of YOUNG BRILLIANT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG BRILLIANT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 GLORIOUS SUCCESS (K062) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FRANTANCK (H429) M F Poon In the early stages raced wide and without cover.
Horse No 9 KOLACHI (J395) H Bentley Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
The performance of KOLACHI, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, KOLACHI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 ENDEARED (H161) B Thompson Whilst positioned behind the starting gates reared, resulting in its rider B Thompson being dislodged.
ENDEARED was quickly recaptured and passed suitable to race by the Veterinary Officer.
On jumping was crowded between TURIN MASCOT and KOLACHI, both of which shifted ground slightly.

Horse No 13 NEVER PETER OUT (J200) H T Mo Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 ARIEL (G223) A Hamelin After the event, A Hamelin could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 M UNICORN (G466) L Ferraris After being placed in the barriers lunged forward, resulting in its head making contact with the starting gate, causing the starting gate to open and M UNICORN to gallop for a short distance before being captured.
Acting on veterinary advice that M UNICORN was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
The barrier manners of M UNICORN were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, M UNICORN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Addition to Racing Incidents Report of 9 February 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 10 (416) ALSONSO - Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and approaching the 800 Metres was shifted out, resulting in ALSONSO racing very wide and without cover for the remainder of the event.
REZEKI - After the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between RISING FROM ASHES and HONG LOK GOLF which shifted in.

Never Peter Out was handy and wide without cover from the 650m but kept on gamely after claiming the lead 60m out for a fourth win from five dirt 1,650m runs this season despite a rise in class. He has the tools to win another on this surface. Punted late Fighting Machine ran on strongly down the outside to finish a close second after covering ground settling second last from the widest draw. He's itching to win another this term following seconds in four of his past five over the dirt 1,650m. New Forest grudgingly gave way after moving to the lead near the 1,000m following a pace-stalking run. He was able to build on a pleasing fourth on local debut over 1,400m. Endeared ran on well for fourth without threatening the top three after a patient ride fifth last from a tricky gate. It was a pleasing performance at his initial run on the all-weather surface. Favourite Glorious Success made headway late for fifth after a wide trip towards the rear from an outside gate. It's only a matter of time before he greets the judge on either surface. Beato made noticeable ground late after missing the start by two lengths.
