Recap by phillip woo

Must Go travelled wide four from the rear and came with a well-timed run to deny Dragon Air Force for a third win over the dirt 1,200m from 25 starts. He deserved the win after placing second in four of five earlier 1,200m runs. Dragon Air Force did everything right but get the win after poking his head in front 50m out following a prominent run with cover from gate three. It was another fine showing on the surface despite a rise in class following back-to-back wins. Favourite Mojave Desert ran on nicely to make it close on the wire following a rails run from midfield. He's done very little wrong in four starts on both surfaces following a stable change. Self Improvement grudgingly gave way to finish fourth following a speed-tracking run from a tricky gate. It wasn't a bad effort carrying top weight. Galaxy Witness ran on steadily for fifth after making his run two from the rear. It was another typical performance despite a switch in surfaces. Packing Bole folded to finish next best after getting his own way in front from gate 11 under a 10-pound claimer. He's likely on or near his mark following a win two runs ago.
