Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (420) - KAM SHAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 SUNNY DARLING (J171) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount did not appreciate racing amongst horses but also did not fully stretch out on the Wet Slow track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 7 HE WAS YOU (J547) B Avdulla Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the event, B Avdulla reported that his mount did not appreciate the Wet Slow track conditions.

Near the 350 Metres was held up for clear running when improving into a narrow run between JOLLY COMPANION and NATURAL HIGH which shifted out slightly.

Well-backed late Daily Trophy was suited by the race tempo to come from near last to take control 50m out for a third win over the dirt 1,200m from 27 starts and first from 16 starts in Class Four. Punted late Gimme Five stayed on well for second after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was a solid effort at his first run on the surface. Favourite Hinokami Kagura ran on well for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a much better effort following a stable change. Natural High had to settle for fourth after moving to the lead 200m out following a speed-tracking run. He's close to a win after finishing in the mix in three consecutive all-weather sprints. Jolly Companion stayed on well for fifth after getting posted wide without cover near the speed from gate nine. He had an excuse. Firming late in betting, Yeah Buddy only plodded when asked for an effort after a box-seat run. He couldn't build on an improved fourth last start on this surface but may not have enjoyed the wet track. Lean Master was on his tippy toes 100m out after setting a genuine pace leading 800m out from gate 10.
