Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (414) - THE TVB CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 1 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 TAJ DRAGON (H164) B Avdulla Between the 350 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running and over the concluding stages was directed to the outside of GORGEOUS WIN to continue into clear running.
Horse No 2 RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
After the event, H Bowman stated that from the 600 Metres his mount raced keenly and as a result shortly after he was obliged to shift to the outside of GORGEOUS WIN at which point RAGING BLIZZARD commenced to improve into the race.
He added that in the Home Straight he was of the view RAGING BLIZZARD's run had come to an end near the 100 Metres which he attributed to the fact that the horse had improved into the event sooner than he would have liked.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Lucky With You settled midfield on the rails, moved to the lead 80m out and was too smart for a seventh win from 33 starts. Punted late Gorgeous Win ran on nicely near the outside for second after a one-off trip from just off midfield. He continues to perform very well over the Sha Tin 1,200m despite a rise in class. Firming late in betting, Magic Control didn't quite see out the trip after moving to the lead 350m out following a speedtracking run on the back of leader Harmony N Blessed. He's more effective over 1,000m. Copartner Prance stayed on a one-paced fourth after punching the breeze without cover in third. He's a Valley horse. Taj Dragon ran on steadily for fifth after getting held up on a pair of occasions when trying to wind up from near last in the eight-horse field. He should have finished a bit closer. Favourite Raging Blizzard's move from the rear at the 600m didn't last very long. He was facing stiffer opposition after back-to-back wins and does prefer a stronger pace. Son Pak Fu never figured after a wide trip towards the rear. He could not build on a closing fourth last start.
