Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (410) - TVB TUNG WAH CELEBRITY SHOW HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 FUN TOGETHER (H041) C L Chau After the event, C L Chau reported that when his mount was pressured in the lead in the early stages by VANTASTIC CHOICE it then was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 KA YING SUPERB (J091) M Chadwick Near the 200 Metres shifted in and was bumped.
Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 3 FLYING WROTE (J290) Y L Chung Near the 200 Metres was eased when crowded between HAPPY UNIVERSE which shifted out slightly to obtain clear running and POCHETTINO which was taken in slightly by KA YING SUPERB.
Horse No 4 GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) K Teetan Reported to have sustained a minor abrasion to the right front leg after the race.
Horse No 5 HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533) A Hamelin Approaching the 200 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of VANTASTIC CHOICE to obtain clear running.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing in restricted room between FLYING WROTE and GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY, both of which shifted ground slightly.
Horse No 6 OCEAN IMPACT (J502) L Hewitson Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.
Horse No 7 LAKESHORE HERO (J288) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 LITTLE SQUID (K050) C Y Ho Bumped at the start.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay in in the Home Straight and between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up for clear running behind KA YING SUPERB.
Horse No 9 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) M L Yeung Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 250 Metres.
Again approaching the 150 Metres was held up for clear running behind FUN TOGETHER for some distance.
Horse No 10 LUCKY GENERATIONS (J338) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 11 GALE SAGA (J152) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 POCHETTINO (J149) A Badel Near the 200 Metres was bumped by KA YING SUPERB.
Horse No 13 VANTASTIC CHOICE (G401) P N Wong On jumping bumped with LITTLE SQUID and blundered shortly after.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 14 ORIENTAL TYCOON (J112) B Thompson Jumped only fairly.
Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid GALE SAGA.

Well-backed late Gale Saga travelled fifth last and wide, quickened nicely with two wider out to lead 60m out and just scrambled in for a second 1,400m win and first in the grade from five starts this term. Lakeshore Hero rallied strongly with one wider out to make it close on the wire after making his run two from the rear. He's building towards a win with placings in two of five starts. Pochettino stayed on well for third after a wide without cover trip from better than midfield. It was his best effort. Good Luck Babe grudgingly gave way after clearing to lead 1,050m out from gate seven. He's given a better sight in his past two of three runs following a downgrade. Ka Ying Superb just held his ground after a prominent run wide without cover from gate 14. He must be one to keep safe at this level from a better draw. Lucky Generations made noticeable ground late near the outside for sixth after a patient ride fourth last from gate eight. He's still a work in progress but has shown flashes of ability in his six starts.
