Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (393) - FAT CHOI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232) J Melham Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 2 ARDEN (J505) A Hamelin ARDEN, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, raced ungenerously and near the 1000 Metres became unbalanced when being steadied to allow VIEW ALL THINGS to cross.
ARDEN continued to race ungenerously for some distance thereafter.
Horse No 3 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 KA YING RADIANCE (K134) M L Yeung Bumped on jumping.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 SUNNY Q (J223) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded by DRAGON SUNRISE which shifted in.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when held up for clear running between INVINCIBLE LUCKY and KING OBERON.
Horse No 6 VIEW ALL THINGS (K101) H Bowman Shortly after the start got its head up, shifted in and was bumped.
Near the 450 Metres was taken wider by YEE CHEONG GLORY when that runner shifted out to improve.
Horse No 7 YEE CHEONG GLORY (K074) Z Purton Shortly after the start was eased when crowded between ARDEN and VIEW ALL THINGS which got its head up and shifted in.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 INVINCIBLE LUCKY (J119) B Avdulla After the event, B Avdulla advised that he was given no specific instructions.
He said when his mount jumped awkwardly and was positioned to the outside of DRAGON SUNRISE when that horse lost ground due to its rider losing his iron, he was obliged to steady INVINCIBLE LUCKY to shift in behind DRAGON SUNRISE which resulted in his mount settling towards the rear of the field.
Horse No 9 DRAGON SUNRISE (J269) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
On jumping the right iron used by L Hewitson became detached from the saddle which resulted in Jockey Hewitson completing the course without the use of his irons and DRAGON SUNRISE taking no competitive part in the event.
After inspecting Jockey Hewitson's gear after the race, it was identified that the buckle had come loose more than likely due to DRAGON SUNRISE making contact with SUNNY Q at the start.
The inspection of the gear also identified that it was in good condition.
Horse No 10 JOLLY JUMPER (K110) A Badel Crowded at the start.
Horse No 13 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) C Y Ho Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Favourite Yee Cheong Glory peeled off the fence from behind midfield and ran on nicely to take control 160m out for a smart debut win. He's better than Class Four and remains one to follow. Dragon Four Seas kept on gamely for second after tracking the speed from gate 10. He was able to back up a win last start carrying eight pounds more. Punted late Fun N Fun Together found a couple too good after dictating the pace from gate two. He's a winner waiting to happen in this grade. King Oberon stayed on well for fourth after a prominent run wide without cover from gate nine. He's given a good sight in three consecutive runs following a move to blinkers. Shine Bright made good ground late near the inside for fifth after making his run two from the rear. It was a better effort at his fourth start. Jolly Jumper gradually faded after making his run effectively one-out, oneback from gate seven. He's still a work in progress.
