Race Four : (390) - THE CENTENARY VASE (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 STRAIGHT ARRON (G435) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For a short distance after the 400 Metres was held up for clear running.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 CHANCHENG GLORY (H212) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 NIMBLE NIMBUS (E249) A Atzeni Jumped awkwardly.
Approaching the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded between STUNNING PEACH and FIVE G PATCH (B Avdulla) which shifted out to improve.
B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 6 ENSUED (H452) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 LA CITY BLANCHE (G371) M Barzalona Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded between ENCOUNTERED and HAPPY TOGETHER (A Badel) which shifted in and away from ENSUED.
A Badel was advised to exercise more care.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 STUNNING PEACH (J301) M Chadwick After the event, M Chadwick stated that his mount settled slightly further back in the field than anticipated and in the Home Straight finished the race off only fairly.

Chancheng Glory stalked the pace behind Sword Point before moving to the lead 200m out and keeping on strongly for an eighth win at his 23rd start and first at his fouth time of asking over the Sha Tin 1,800m. He is a very honest horse. Winning Dragon stayed on nicely for second after a one-out, one-back run. It was another fine effort up in grade and 10 points out of the handicap after back-to-back seconds over 2,000m. Ensued ran on nicely for third after turning the final bend three from the rear. It was a good effort in his first start following a pleasing fourth in December's Hong Kong Vase. Favourite Encountered stayed on well for fourth after a prominent run along the inside. It was another good effort. Five G Patch ran on without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. He prefers a longer trip. Stunning Peach ran on without threatening travelling one from the rear. He was up in grade and eight points out of the handicap.
