Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven : (397) - KUT CHEONG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 SEASONS WIT (H223) C Soumillon Over the final 100 Metres was held up for clear running and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 2 KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) E C W Wong When questioned, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his instructions from a wide barrier were to endeavour to obtain a position with cover behind midfield.
He said KAHOLO ANGEL jumped well today and he then immediately endeavoured to comply with his instructions to obtain cover.
He said as he did so in the early stages KAHOLO ANGEL raced too keenly and when left racing wide he elected to allow KAHOLO ANGEL to stride forward where it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 PACKING ANGEL (J454) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 TAMRA BLITZ (G237) H Bowman Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 5 KING OF FIGHTERS (K174) B Avdulla After the event, B Avdulla confirmed the instructions were to hold an on-pace position.
Horse No 7 ENDEARED (H161) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Near the 600 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from LUCKY COMBINATION.
Horse No 9 ANOTHER WORLD (K005) L Hewitson On jumping was crowded between SOLID WIN and TAMRA BLITZ which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 DEVAS TWELVE (H435) C Y Ho A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 SOLID WIN (J225) M Barzalona Bumped at the start.
Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1200 Metres was steadied away from ANOTHER WORLD.
Horse No 12 THE ABSOLUTE (H438) H Bentley Bumped at the start.
After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover back in the field and as a result did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 13 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly.
Near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid SOLID CAR.
Between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of PACKING ANGEL.
Horse No 14 LUCKY COMBINATION (J512) A Badel The Stewards inquired into the reason for J Melham being declared as the rider of LUCKY COMBINATION when she was unable to fulfil that engagement due to travel commitments.
As such permission was given for A Badel to be substituted as the rider of LUCKY COMBINATION.
After interviewing Jockey Melham and Trainer F C Lor, they were both advised that they should make all proper enquiries to ensure that the engagements are able to be fulfilled.
On jumping made contact with the right side of its barrier and shortly after shifted in and bumped THE ABSOLUTE.

Packing Angel settled one-out, one-back and shot clear near the 200m for a third consecutive win from six starts. He's better than Class Three and should handle a further trip going forward. Another World ran on nicely for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He's a progressive type and should be winning shortly in this grade after backto- back successes in Class Four. Armour War Eagle ran on well for third after getting held up early in the straight following a patient ride three from the rear. He can bob up at any moment. Punted late Solid Win made good ground late through the middle for fourth without threatening the top three after a patient ride third last from gate five. He held his own up in grade off a lighter weight following a win. Tamra Blitz made headway late with three wider out for fifth after biding his time four from the rear. He was stepping out off a similar winning mark from last season and a win is around the corner.
