Recap by phillip woo

After straightening two lengths on top following an easy time in front from gate 10, the well-backed Parents' Love kept finding for a second win from his past four starts and first in Class Four. Champion Method was closing with every stride after a wellexecuted ride to find the box seat from gate seven. He was able to rebound with a big run after a last-start defeat with blood in his trachea. Early favourite Happy United ran on steadily to just miss second after a rails run from better than midfield. It was a season-best performance following a downgrade and return to his favourite Valley 1,000m. Post-time favourite Super Sixty ran on nicely down the outside for fourth following a patient ride third last from gate nine. He's a winner waiting to happen from a better draw. Harmony Fire just plodded after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a better run down in Class Four, but he couldn't offset the big weight. Mr Valiant wove a run late to finish next best after biding his time three from the rear. He will be looking forward to a downgrade. Circuit Seven only plodded after a one-off trip from midfield.
