Race Six : (342) - HUNG MUI KUK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 VICTORY MOMENTS (H142) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount responded to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight.
He added near the 200 Metres VICTORY MOMENTS then came under pressure before giving ground from that point and he had some concern that there might be something amiss with it over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 4 MASK RIDER (K169) K De Melo Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 MUST GO (J133) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 MONTA FRUTTA (H455) Y L Chung Slow to begin.
A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the horse.
When commencing to finish the race off well was held up for clear running between GIANT LEAP and VICTORY MOMENTS which shifted out when giving ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 AEROINVINCIBLE (J180) A Atzeni After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, did not show early pace despite being ridden along.
He said AEROINVINCIBLE did not travel well thereafter and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 GIANT LEAP (J143) A Pouchin Bumped at the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 MOJAVE DESERT (J330) M Chadwick On jumping was crowded between GIANT LEAP and OFFROAD MASTER which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
Lay in in the early part of the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 BUNTA BABY (J465) P N Wong Approaching the 100 Metres raced in restricted room between VICTORY MOMENTS and SWAGGER BRO.
Horse No 12 OFFROAD MASTER (J283) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and was bumped.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.

After shading Bunta Baby for the lead on the fence from gate one, Mask Rider kept finding after scooting clear by three lengths 200m out for a smart win on Hong Kong debut. He will remain in the grade and can win again. Mojave Desert ran on nicely for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He was able to back up a win in Class Four last start for his new trainer. Favourite Must Go ran on late with one wider out to just snatch third after a wide trip towards the rear from gate 12. He can bob up at any moment after placing in four his past six runs on the all-weather track. Offroad Master just lost third by a bob of the heads after a handy run wide without cover at times. It was a reasonable effort carrying 18 pounds less in a higher grade. Swagger Bro made ground late for fifth without threatening the top four after settling second last from gate seven. Punted late, Giant Leap was yielding ground 100m out after chasing the speed wide without cover from gate six. He had an excuse. Bunta Baby was gassed 150m out after prompting the pace from gate three carrying a feather weight under a 10-pound claimer.
