Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (339) - CHEK KENG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ROMAN CROWN (J456) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount did not travel strongly throughout the event due to the early stages of the race being run inside of standard time.
He added as a result his mount finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) E C W Wong Slow to begin.
After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of JOLLY COMPANION was considered disappointing as compared to its last start.
Before being allowed to race again, JOLLY COMPANION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 4 FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232) K C Leung Over the concluding stages shifted in towards YEAH BUDDY when that runner shifted out slightly, resulting in FUN N FUN TOGETHER being steadied when awkwardly placed close to YEAH BUDDY.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 6 NEBRASKAN (J304) K Teetan On jumping was bumped and became unbalanced.
Near the 700 Metres hung out towards the heels of FUN N FUN TOGETHER and was steadied.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung After the event, M L Yeung stated that his instructions were to obtain a midfield position.
He said in the early stages he settled slightly further back due to the pace of the event being run inside of standard time.
He added, in his opinion, COLOURFUL WINNER would be better suited racing on the turf.
Horse No 8 NATURAL HIGH (J365) P N Wong On jumping blundered, became unbalanced and lost ground.

Horse No 10 VULCANUS (J150) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 REGENT GLORY (E323) A Hamelin Approaching the 600 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from KA YING WARRIOR.
Horse No 12 YEAH BUDDY (J430) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
Between the 400 Metres and near the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.

After punching forward from gate three to narrowly get his head in front 500m out, favourite Dragon Air Force kept finding for back-to-back wins despite carrying six pounds more. Vulcanus ran on strongly with one wider out to make it close on the wire after settling second last from gate 12. He had a race run to suit but is performing very well on this surface. Natural High ran on nicely for third after a rails run from behind midfield following a slow start. It was a good effort after waking up with a front-running fifth last start on this surface. Yeah Buddy stayed on well for fourth following an impeded run until the 200m. It was his best run from 11 starts with a step back in distance. Punted late, Colourful Winner made inroads late for fifth after a patient ride third last from gate nine. It wasn't a bad effort on his all-weather track debut. After firming late in betting, Fun N Fun Together gradually faded after getting posted three wide chasing the speed from gate seven. He had an excuse. Regent Glory only plodded after a very wide trip without cover travelling midfield from gate 11.
