Recap by phillip woo

Eternal Fortune ran on from midfield on the rails to surge to the lead 150m out and just hold on for the win. He appreciated the step up to 1,200m after placing in his past three of four starts. Favourite Spicy Gold found one just too good with his late bid following a one-off trip from behind midfield. He should be earning a win shortly in Class Three after winning his first two starts this term in Class Four. Punted late Young Arrow closed off well for third after making his run wide towards the rear from gate 10. He was able to build on a fifth last start. Happy Fat Cat stayed on better for fourth after a box-seat run. It was his best run from seven outings this term. Kyrus Dragon just failed to get up for fourth after having to come off heels for a clear run 200m out following a patient ride two from the rear. He had an excuse. A Americ Te Specso ran on steadily near the inside to finish next best after making his run five back on the fence. He's gone OK in both outings this term. California Deeply wasn't beaten overly far in the end after getting posted wide without cover travelling worse than midfield from gate six.
