Race Five : (322) - THE PO LEUNG KUK CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 FANTASTIC FUN (J364) A Atzeni Near the 700 Metres was bumped by THESIS which shifted in.
Near the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of POCHETTINO to obtain clear running After the event, A Atzeni reported that his mount, which was having its first start on the All Weather surface, may not have appreciated racing on the track.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 THESIS (H111) K Teetan On jumping made contact with the left side of its barrier.
Shifted in near the 700 Metres and was bumped.
Horse No 3 RELIABLE PROFIT (G462) H Bowman When caught wide in the early stages was shifted across behind runners to avoid racing wide.
Horse No 4 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) C Y Ho After the event, C Y Ho stated that, in his opinion, CAN'T GO WONG is better suited racing at the Happy Valley circuit.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 VIVA CHALEUR (G368) L Ferraris Near the 1500 Metres was crowded between HAKKA RADIANCE and BILLIONAIRE SECRET which shifted out.

In the early stages raced keenly.
Making the first turn near the 1500 Metres got its head up and shifted out when positioned close to FANTASTIC FUN.
Horse No 9 POCHETTINO (J149) A Badel After the event, A Badel reported that he was given no specific instructions but was able to take up a more forward position from a favourable barrier today.
Horse No 10 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) M F Poon Slow to begin.
Horse No 11 HAKKA RADIANCE (J105) Z Purton Shifted in at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced.
After the event, Z Purton stated that when under pressure in the Home Straight his mount responded fairly, however, he had some concern with its action.

Horse No 12 HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER (J002) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 STRONGEST BOY (H027) B Thompson Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by HAKKA RADIANCE which shifted in.
STRONGEST BOY was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier.
In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1300 Metres was steadied away from SIGHT SUPREME.
Horse No 14 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) M L Yeung Fractious in the barriers, removed, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start.
Before being allowed to race again, KINGLY DEMEANOR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Ariel kept finding after leading from gate two with the claim well utilised to land a betting plunge. He was just winning for the second time at his first start over the dirt 1,800m from 33 starts. He simply stole the race. Favourite Happydearhappydeer stayed on well for second after a prominent run on the fence. He's close to a win on the back of placings in three consecutive runs. Sight Supreme ran on steadily for third after a rails run travelling just worse than midfield. It was another good effort. Reliable Profit emerged late down the outside to grab fourth after turning the final bend last from gate 14. He was the only one to have made ground late. Thesis produced a battling fifth after a wide with cover trip from midfield. Kingly Demeanor was yielding ground 100m out after getting caught wide without cover in third the entire trip from gate nine. Hakka Radiance ran on without threatening after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. Fantastic Fun found nothing after a one-off trip from better than midfield.
