Punted late, The Absolute came from last and widest out at the head of the straight to take control 80m out for a second win over this trip from eight starts. Strathpeffer stayed on well for second after a wide trip without cover in midfield from gate 12. It was another solid run. Dragon Four Seas found a couple too good after moving to the lead 250m out after punching the breeze one off in third. He keeps promising without delivering. Ballistic Win made some ground late with two wider out for fourth after settling in fifth last. It was a typical performance despite a riding change to a five-pound claimer. Forerunner made inroads near the outside for fifth after a wide trip towards the rear from gate 13. He rarely produces a bad run but has trouble winning. Carryon Smiling ran on without threatening after making his run second last from gate 14. It was an improved effort. Panda was next best after a wide trip with cover behind midfield. The step up in trip backfired after getting up for third last start over 1,200m.

Race Seven : (303) - LUNG FU SHAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 BALLISTIC WIN (J040) E C W Wong Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid DRAGON SUNRISE.

Near the 450 Metres shifted out, made contact with FORERUNNER and became unbalanced.

Bumped near the 300 Metres.

Horse No 2 THE ABSOLUTE (H438) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 PANDA (H466) A Pouchin Shortly after the start was bumped by RAGNARR which shifted in.

Near the 1300 Metres was momentarily crowded by RAGNARR.

Near the 900 Metres was taken wider by DRAGON SUNRISE.

After the event, A Pouchin advised that with his mount stepping up to 1400 Metres today he was asked to ride it in a more forward position.

He added in the Home Straight PANDA shifted ground on a number of occasions, resulting in him having to stop riding and correct it on each occasion.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 900 Metres shifted out when being checked away from RAGNARR.

Horse No 5 FORERUNNER (G465) H Bowman Near the 450 Metres was bumped when taken wider by BALLISTIC WIN.

Near the 300 Metres was again bumped and taken wider by BALLISTIC WIN.

Horse No 8 STRATHPEFFER (H095) L Hewitson Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) A Atzeni After the event, A Atzeni stated that his mount raced too keenly in the lead and as a result ran inside of standard time in the middle stages, which resulted in it being left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 CARRYON SMILING (J392) M L Yeung Approaching the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid STRONGEST BOY.

CARRYON SMILING then had some difficulty obtaining clear running on the Home Turn.

Horse No 13 RAGNARR (H297) K Teetan Bumped shortly after the start.

In the early stages raced keenly and near the 900 Metres got its head up when being checked to avoid DRAGON FOUR SEAS.

Horse No 14 SO TREASURE (H351) M Chadwick Approaching the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of MY FLYING ANGEL to continue into clear running.
