Firming favourite Markwin drew clear after surging to the lead 150m out for a maiden win. Happy Park kept on well for second after dictating the run from gate nine. He's close to a win with placings across each track from his past three starts. Amazing Run kept on a one-paced third after a prominent run. It was another pleasing performance despite a change in riding tactics. Silver Up ran on steadily for fourth after settling on the rail in better than midfield. It was a return to form on his seasonal reappearance for his new trainer. View Of The World ran on steadily for fifth after travelling one off the rail and behind midfield. It was another honest effort. Pearl Of Pang's was on his tippy toes 100m out after going forward to track the leader from gate 13. Family Fortune ran on steadily without threatening after making his run four back on the fence. He might be a force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Five. Owners' Praise never landed a blow after making his run five back and one off the fence.

Horse No 1 HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533) H Bentley Jumped only fairly and then bumped with FAMILY FORTUNE.

Horse No 2 SILVER UP (J078) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.

For some distance after the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind AMAZING RUN.

Horse No 3 OWNERS' PRAISE (H047) Z Purton Near the 300 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

After the event, Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount's failure to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 MARKWIN (J420) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 HAPPY PARK (J311) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 PEARL OF PANG'S (J447) M L Yeung Approaching the 150 Metres lay in and had some difficulty obtaining clear running.

PEARL OF PANG'S continued to lay in and over the concluding stages was awkwardly placed close to AMAZING RUN.

Horse No 10 HARMONY N HOME (C531) M F Poon Raced keenly in the early stages and for some distance near the 1000 Metres was steadied away from HAPPY UNIVERSE.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to PEARL OF PANG'S.

Horse No 11 SPONGE BABE (H350) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

The performance of SPONGE BABE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SPONGE BABE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) K Teetan Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between OWNERS' PRAISE and HAPPY UNIVERSE.

In this incident, YEE CHEONG RAIDER made contact with the hindquarters of OWNERS' PRAISE.

After the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of HAPPY UNIVERSE to secure clear running.

Horse No 13 KING OBERON (H407) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 14 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) M Chadwick Bumped at the start.

Horse No GOLDEN DARCI (H470) --- Trainer D J Hall was fined the sum of $10,000 for breaching Trainers' Handbook Regulation 40 in that he entered GOLDEN DARCI for a barrier trial at Sha Tin on Friday, 15 November 2024 when that horse was the second Standby Declared Starter for this race.
