Recap by phillip woo

Super Love Dragon quickened nicely when only gaining a run 200m out to claim favourite Win Speed in the concluding stages for a first win at his seventh local start. Win Speed found one too good after surging to the lead 250m out sitting third with cover one off the fence. It was another solid run following a win. Ballistic Win ran on nicely with one wider out after making his run three from the rear. He continues to race well. Oriental Smoke ran on nicely through the middle for fourth after making his run five back and three off the fence with cover. It was a better effort this season following a downgrade. My Flying Angel just held his ground after a handy run one off the fence. It was a better performance. Beauty Alliance ran on without threatening after travelling fourth last from a wide draw on his seasonal reappearance.

Horse No 3 SUPER LOVE DRAGON (J038) Z Purton Between the 500 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind MY FLYING AGNEL.

Horse No 4 GREENWICH (H328) L Hewitson After the event, L Hewitson stated that his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event and gave ground noticeably in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of GREENWICH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, GREENWICH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 6 ALL EYES ON ME (J453) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and then was steadied when crowded between BALLISTIC WIN and GOOD LUCK WIN which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.

Horse No 7 UNISON (H423) K Teetan When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in and passing the 400 Metres made contact with the running rail.

Horse No 8 BEAUTY ALLIANCE (J260) H Bowman Jumped only fairly and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Near the 800 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by CONCORDE STAR (A Badel) which shifted in and away from BALLISTIC WIN before being corrected by its rider.

A Badel was advised to exercise more care.

Horse No 13 CONCORDE STAR (J344) A Badel Approaching the 300 Metres was hampered when it shifted out and away from GOOD LUCK WIN.

When questioned, A Badel stated that from the outside barrier and with blinkers being applied to his mount and stepping up in distance, his intention was to hold a forward position.

He said when his mount jumped only fairly and when there was good pace to his inside, he elected to shift CONCORDE STAR behind runners in the early stages to avoid racing wide.

Horse No 14 MARIO (J100) M F Poon After the event, M F Poon reported that his instructions were to take up a forward position.
