Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (161) - THE AMERICAN CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 KING ECCELLENTE (G264) H Bentley After the event, H Bentley reported that his mount raced a little too keenly during the race with blinkers being reapplied tonight.
He added that together with KING ECCELLENTE carrying the top weight of 135 lbs, it was unable to finish the race off when under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 MIGHTY COMMANDER (J360) H Bowman Slow to begin and then was crowded by STORMING DRAGON which shifted out.
Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running between REGENT GLORY and KING ECCELLENTE.
Horse No 4 STORMING DRAGON (J237) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 PANDA LEGEND (H002) K De Melo From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 BEAUTY LIGHT (J474) A Badel Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by FUN N GLORY which shifted in.
Over the concluding stages became unbalanced when racing in restricted room between DRAGON AIR FORCE and KING ECCELLENTE which shifted out when giving ground.
Horse No 7 REGENT GLORY (E323) B Thompson Bumped at the start.
Horse No 8 BEAUTY DESTINY (H281) A Atzeni Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
Lay out on the Home Turn.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 FUN N GLORY (G003) B Avdulla Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
After the event, B Avdulla advised that from a wide barrier his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Trainer D J Hall confirmed the instructions issued.

Punted late, Beauty Destiny quickened nicely after working into the clear near the 200m to just overhaul favourite Storming Dragon from gate 10 for a second win from 13 starts. Storming Dragon did everything right but could not get the win after briefly finding the lead in the closing stages following a trip one off the fence in midfield. He lost nothing in defeat and it looks like a win is around the corner. Lean Master gave a good sight on the speed for third. He is always a chance on the speed from a proper gate. Mighty Commander ran on steadily for fourth after a making his run from worse than midfield on the fence. It was his best effort from six local starts following a downgrade. Fun N Glory made some ground late after biding his time in third last from a tricky gate. Dragon Air Force kept on OK after getting caught wide without cover the entire trip in better than midfield. Yeah Buddy faded late after a box-seat run from gate one. King Eccellente was disappointing after a one-out, one-back run. He couldn't build on a runner-up result following a downgrade last start.
