Recap by phillip woo

After circling the field from towards the rear to sit third without cover 600m out, favourite Noble Pursuit took control 60m out for a fourth career win at his 11th start. It was a good performance. Punted late, I Can found one just too good after taking off at the 850m following a wide trip without cover to eventually lead 200m out. He's a winner waiting to happen after catching the eye in two runs from outside draws this term. Chain Of Gold ran on nicely for third after making his run two from the rear. It was a solid effort carrying 10 pounds more following a win. Red Majesty stayed on well for fourth after a handy run. It was a good run following a second 14 days ago in an easier class. Glorious Journey ran on from towards the rear without threatening. He might not be far off a bottom. Samarkand only plodded after working forward three deep to track the speed from a tricky gate. The well-backed Greenwich was on his tippy toes 150m out after crossing to lead 1,200m out from a wide draw. He was trying both the Valley and the mile for the first time.
