Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (472) - RUTLAND HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 ADIOS (G338) C L Chau Raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 700 Metres was steadied away from WHIZZ KID.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 4 GALAXY PATCH (H399) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301) H Bowman Near the 300 Metres was held up between PING HAI GALAXY and ADIOS and was shifted to the outside of ADIOS after the 300 Metres to obtain clear running.
Near the 200 Metres became held up for clear running behind WHIZZ KID and did not obtain clear running until approaching the 100 Metres when it improved between WHIZZ KID and ADIOS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 KURPANY (D172) B Shinn Near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between DUKE WAI an WE ARE HERO (A Badel) which shifted out.
A Badel was reprimanded.
Horse No 7 PING HAI GALAXY (C377) B Avdulla When giving ground near the 150 Metres was eased when crowded between DUKE WAI and GALAXY PATCH (K Teetan) which shifted in to improve.
K Teetan was advised to exercise more care.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 WE ARE HERO (G207) A Badel Shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 11 SUPREME LUCKY (G457) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 12 EXPLOSIVE WITNESS (B001) H Bentley Near the 200 Metres raced tight to the outside of INVINCIBLE SAGE.

Nervous Witness never looked back after easily finding the front from gate 12 for a comfortable win. It was a good training feat off a 126-day break following lameness in October. Invincible Sage got up for second after having to clear traffic following a handy run. It was another honest effort. Carroll Street finished nicely on the stands side to just miss second after a patient ride third last. He's always a chance over the straight 1,000m. Whizz Kid grudgingly gave way to just miss a placing after a speed-chasing run. He continues to race well over the 1,000m across both tracks this term. Firming favourite Galaxy Patch ran on steadily to finish next best from behind midfield. The 1,000m is too sharp for him. Well-backed late We Are Hero made some ground without threatening near the far side after biding his time one from the rear. Kurpany got going late when the race was all but over travelling four from the rear. Adios gradually faded after a handy run near the grandstand side. He's more effective over a 1,200m trip.
