Race Two : (352) - CAROLINE HILL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 CHARITY BINGO (H254) J McDonald Near the 500 Metres was shifted out abruptly to avoid NATURAL GOLD which had gone amiss.
Horse No 2 CIRCUIT MIGHTY (G078) H Bowman Hung out rounding the Home Turn.
Raced wide and without cover throughout the event.
Horse No 4 GALVANIC (H147) C Y Ho Checked and shifted out abruptly inside the 600 Metres.
Horse No 5 FIGHT TIME (H409) M F Poon Slow into stride.
Horse No 7 GOLDEN RISE (H242) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 DEVAS TWELVE (H435) M Chadwick Checked inside the 600 Metres.
Horse No 9 RIVER VIEWS (G212) K Teetan Approaching the winning post bounded and became unbalanced.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SUNNY SHINES (H484) A Atzeni Over-raced in the early stages.
Hampered severely inside the 600 Metres.
After the race, A Atzeni reported that his mount raced in a more forward position today after it jumped quite well and he opted to place SUNNY SHINES where it raced comfortably in accordance with his pre-race instructions.
Horse No 11 NATURAL GOLD (E402) H Bentley Inside the 600 Metres, when racing to the outside of the leader, went amiss.
This resulted in interference to a number of runners which were following, they being BULB PRINCE which was checked severely to avoid NATURAL GOLD.
SUNNY SHINES was severely hampered after being taken out by BULB PRINCE which in turn resulted In GALVANIC, which was following, having to be checked and forced much wider on the track.
DEVAS TWELVE was also checked.
After the race, it was reported that NATURAL GOLD had sustained an injury to the left front fetlock.
Samples were taken from NATURAL GOLD.
Horse No 13 AMAZINGTEAMWORK (H488) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its barrier and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 14 BULB PRINCE (G179) A Hamelin Checked severely inside the 600 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a cut to the right hind pastern.
Horse No PRINCE CHISWICK (G388) A Badel Withdrawn on 20.1.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter AMAZINGTEAMWORK.
Before being allowed to race again, PRINCE CHISWICK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Golden Rise easily drew clear after level up for the lead 150m out following a rails run from midfield for a first win at his fifth start. He lived up to a placing last start and can win again. River Views stayed on a clear-cut second after dictating the run as expected from gate five. He's honest but isn't a prolific winner. Fight Time ran on well to fill a placing after making his run four from the rear. It was a pleasing debut effort. Punted late Californiatotality ran on well to just miss a placing after biding his time three from the rear. He's flashed potential in his three starts and it's only a matter of time before he breaks through. Devas Twelve came with a ducking-and-weaving run to finish next best after having to avoid the stopping runner Natural Gold 450m out following a one-off trip from behind midfield. Nishikado just plodded after coming off the paint for a clear run following a prominent run. It was an okay effort. Fancied late Circuit Mighty only plodded over the last 150m after chasing the speed three wide without cover from gate 14. Natural Gold was pulled up at the top of the straight after a speed-tracking run.
