Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (253) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY DIAPURE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 SUPER AXIOM (E105) H T Mo A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 3 MULTISUPER (G416) J McDonald As the start was effected lowered its head and as a result lost ground.
After the race, J McDonald stated that after settling back in the field, MULTISUPER finished the race off only fairly and was disadvantaged by losing ground at the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 SUPER COMMANDER (D350) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and was bumped.
Horse No 6 DASH AVENUE (H327) K Teetan Slow to begin.
After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the event and when he felt that there was something amiss with the horse, he eased it down over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" The performance of DASH AVENUE was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, DASH AVENUE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 FALCON COURT (J056) A Atzeni For a short distance approaching the 250 Metres was held up behind RED ELEGANCE.
Horse No 8 GLORY B (H373) K De Melo Slow to begin.
Near the 400 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FALCON COURT.
Horse No 9 JAMES TAK (J007) C L Chau Bumped on jumping.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 LOYAL BO BO (J011) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.
Near the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly and was shifted to the inside of SPEEDY FORTUNE into doubtful running.
A short distance latter, LOYAL BO BO was checked when disappointed for clear running between SPEEDY FORTUNE and FALCON COURT which was taken out slightly by HAYDAY (M Chadwick).
M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care.
The Stewards found that the racing manners of LOYAL BO BO had significantly contributed to the interference suffered by that runner when it improved into a doubtful run.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 PATCH OF THETA (H485) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the right side of its barrier.
Horse No 12 TOURBILLON FLOW (J061) A Badel The performance of TOURBILLON FLOW, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, TOURBILLON FLOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) M L Yeung Approaching the 200 Metres was directed to the inside of SUPER AXIOM to continue into clear running.
Horse No 14 SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097) A Hamelin On 16 December 2023, the Stewards approved for A Hamelin to be substituted as the rider of SPEEDY FORTUNE as B Avdulla was unable to make the weight.
Having regard to the circumstances of this case, the Stewards accepted B Avdulla's explanation, however, he was advised, wherever possible, he should provide notice of his unavailability as soon as possible.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No HAPPY MISSION (H050) L Ferraris Withdrawn on 15.12.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right front leg) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAYDAY.
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY MISSION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Sensationally backed James Tack took control 150m out after chasing the leading pair near the stands side for win at just his second career start. He lived up to a front running debut fourth over 1,200m and there's clearly more in store from him. Speedy Fortune ran on nicely for second after a handy run. He relished a step back to the course and distance of seconds in two of four prior starts. Patch Of Theta closed well to fill a placing from behind midfield near the far side from gate one. It was an encouraging debut performance. Favourite Loyal Bo Bo stayed on reasonably well for fourth despite a trouble prone run travelling two off the stands side from behind midfield. He should have finished closer. Mr Good Vibes closed off well for fifth after shifting into the open just under the 200m travelling second last on the grandstand side. It was a much better effort trying the straight 1,000m after three dull runs at the Valley. Hayday held his ground settling midfield near the far side. It was a better run following move to hood and pacifiers.
