Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (60) - SHANGHAI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Shortly after the start, SUPER WINNER shifted in and brushed PULSAR STRIDER which became unbalanced.
Also shortly after the start, MAGNIAC became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by MODULECONSTRUCTION which shifted out slightly.
CALIFORNIA CIBLE (M F Poon) became unbalanced on jumping after being bumped by COMPASSION SPIRIT which shifted out.
M F Poon reported that as a result of this incident he made the decision to ride his mount back in the field from the wide barrier.
Near the 1100 Metres, PULSAR STRIDER was momentarily awkwardly placed to the inside of the heels of SUPER WINNER.
FRANTANCK commenced to over-race after passing the 1000 Metres and then raced wide and without cover from the 900 Metres.
After the race, it was noted that MAGNIAC had lost its right hind plate.
A veterinary inspection of COMPASSION SPIRIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MODULECONSTRUCTION and DRAGON'S LUCK were sent for sampling.

Moduleconstruction dived late to snatch victory on the wire from midfield for a second win from eight starts. He's honest as the day is long and can win again. Dragon's Luck was nipped on the wire after turning the final bend two lengths on top after leading 1,000m out from gate two. The big weight was the difference in the end. Specked late Super Highway ran on well to win a blanket finish of four for third without threatening the top two following a rail run worse than midfield. It was a better effort with a step back to 1,200m at his second run in the grade. Magniac grudgingly gave way after a pace-stalking run. He's found things harder carrying big weights in his past three starts after a Valley win. Punted late Super Winner just missed the frame after a one-out, one-back run. It was an okay effort in this grade after wining both Class Four starts to start the term. Pulsar Strider came up one paced when asked for more after a box seat run. He prefers a wet track. Newcomer Fast Victory ran on without threatening from towards the rear.
