Recap by phillip woo
Super Legends quickened nicely to surge from ninth to first and grab victory in the final few strides. It was an impressive effort on his competitive debut, and there is more to come from him. Kaholo Angel found one too good after settling one out and one back. It was a welcome return to form after the Caspar Fownes team gelded him during the summer break. He goes well fresh. Hit late to jump favourite, Rubylot stayed on well to just miss second after peeling off the early favourite and long-time leader Super Bonus for a clear run 300m out. It was an encouraging debut effort. Telecom Dragon was unlucky not to have got the chocolates after getting held up for most of the straight following Jerry Chau's patient ride at the rear of the field. Clearly his best run to date, he responded well to the application of a tongue tie. Joyful Prosperity ran on late down the outside to finish the next best. Super Bonus did not find much in the run to the wire after getting hounded for the front twice, first by Hinokami Kagura, then by Great Days. He needed the outing.
