Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (751) - SHA KOK HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
On entering the track, SUPER CLASS dislodged its rider, K Teetan, without incident.
K Teetan remounted and proceeded to the Start.
SHINY TWO was slow to begin.
BUDDY SPIRIT and GREEN LASER jumped only fairly.
SUPER JOY jumped awkwardly and then was crowded between HANDSOME REBEL and JAZZ STEED which shifted out.
SUPER CLASS shifted out at the start and bumped GOLDEN MISSION.
GOLDEN MISSION and SUPER JOY raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
B Avdulla (GOLDEN MISSION), who weighed in at 121 lbs, was fined the sum of $3,000 for returning to scale 2 lbs overweight.
After the race, M Chadwick (LUCKY RUBY) reported that his intention was to be closer, but despite being ridden along in the early stages, LUCKY RUBY failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
He added that under pressure in the Home Straight LUCKY RUBY responded only fairly to his riding and, in his opinion, raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY RUBY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of TURBO POWER immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, TURBO POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SURE WINNER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LUCKY RUBY, ACA POWER and HANDSOME REBEL were sent for sampling.

Aca Power won going away after travelling beautifully fourth on the fence to ring up a second win this season. He deserved that after placing in four other runs on the dirt this campaign. Old-timer Handsome Rebel took second 100m out after chasing the leading pair from a tricky gate. It was a return to form following a downgrade. Jazz Steed ran on nicely from towards the rear to fill a placing. He's always a chance on either surface in this class. Super Class gradually faded after rushing to the lead from gate 11. It was his best run from 14 starts. Turbo Power ran on steadily after a one-off run from midfield. It was a typical effort but he was once again costly as one of the favourites. Favourite Lucky Ruby made only a mild bid from behind midfield. He may not have handled the wet going despite a downgrade. Golden Mission just held his ground after a wide run without cover from midfield. He had an excuse.
